The Forbidden City ...

“So, what are we doing here?” Finau (My friend) and I were standing outside the gates of The Forbidden City! It had an awesome name so I was sure this was going to be an exciting adventure.
“Were going to walk in there and explore the palace!” I responded.
“What do you mean ‘we’?” She said with a laugh.
“I thought you wanted to come inside?” I wasn’t very happy at this point.
“You really thought I would go with yo-” I grabbed her arm and dragged her through the gates, not in the mood for it. I ignored her whining because she wasn’t going to whine when she saw the view of this place.

“Let go of me you peasant!” she said in an annoyed tone. Finau was very kind, but very sassy so she was the perfect person to go on this trip!
“Will you shush for a minute? I’m trying to tell you the plan, but you keep on complaining and I can’t!” She glared at me for a sec, until she said,
“What plan?”
“Haven’t you heard? The Forbidden city is hands off for the rest of life at 2:00pm tonight!”
“Soooo.” She looked confused.
“Sooooo we have to have our last bit of fun before we go. We will stay in the Forbidden City until 2:00, and it’s 1:27 right now. Are you up for the adventure?”
“When you put it like that, I’m so down!”

We were now in the palace walking around, it was beautiful there were velvet red curtains, patterns on the walls and much more. It was as if we were in a different world, we couldn’t get over how beautiful it was. I went to check my watch when guards came running to us with vicious looks on their face. Finau and I started sprinting like there was no tomorrow! Why were these guards chasing us? I went to check my watch once again and realised it was 2:05!

“Finau stop running, we have stayed here overtime!” We both stopped and let the guards take us out. We were so embarrassed we were bright red. The guards walked us out while we looked down. It was a very unpleasant time, but that taught us a lesson. BE ON TIME!
