Food chain story

Swoosh! It was a spectacular day, the sun was shining and the birds were chirping. While all of this was happening a Phytoplankton named Phyt was having a relaxing day in the cool water and the meditating breeze… At the beach! While Phyt was floating on the bubbly surface of the water a Zooplankton named Zoop was lurking in the depths of the ocean. This Zoop were talking about loved to eat Phytoplankton, but he especially wanted to eat Phyt.

Your probably thinking. “Why would they eat each other. There the same family, aren't they? Well they are the same family, but that doesn't mean they can’t eat each other. The reason why is: Phytoplankton are producers. This means they make their own food from the sun, air and soil. On the other hand a Zooplankton is a consumer which means that they eat anytype producer. Anyway back to the story.

So, he wanted to eat him so badly because Phyt stole Zoops girlfriend! Now, she was a Plankton just a normal one which meant that she couldn’t get eaten and also she couldn't eat them. Phyt and Planky(the girl plankton) broke up ages ago though. So that's why Zoop wants to eat Phyt so badly.


Zoop started to emerge from the depths and began to rise closer and closer to the surface. Once Zoop got to the surface of the ocean he started travelling. His home was not very far from phyts, but it seemed far to him because he was so little. His home was only about 100-170 cm away from Phyts home. By now he was about 50 cm away from Phyts house.

When he got to Phyts house he was planning to rip down the walls and terrorise Phyts friends, but that was all in his head. Instead he tried to look for him. He knocked on the door, but there was no answer. So he knocked again, but there was no answer. So he went searching. He finally found him chilling on the surface of the rock pool. Zoop crept up on phyt and tried to look out for any mussels. He got closer and closer, but little did Zoop know a mussel named Musse was watching him. When Zoop was going to eat Phyt, but then Musse just suddenly ate Zoop. Phyt woke up and he was so thankful. They became friends and lived happily ever after.
