Can you trust your friend...
Today is the 24th of June and the whole class was up for a treat. As soon as our teacher said that we were going to eat a cockroach or toffee we all were shocked. After that we got into pairs and I was with my best friend Julianna. Julianna blindfolded me and we started the game.
Julianna had to choose from a cockroach or a toffee. I knew I could trust her, but I was still very scared.
She said “open your mouth Kiarah!”
I was terrified, but I trusted her and opened my mouth. As she put it in my mouth, I could feel something hard. Straight away I knew that it was the toffee because the toffee was hard. I was so relieved and happy. Now I know that I can really trust Julianna.
Now it was my turn to decide to either feed Julianna a cockroach or a toffee. I was going to feed her a cockroach, but then I realised that Julianna fed me a toffee. So then I fed her a toffee. She was so grateful that I fed her a toffee.
In conclusion I wanted to tell you that the cockroaches were actually dried dates. It was so fun and I felt nervous and excited at the same time. When Miss West told us that the “cockroach” was actually a date I felt betrayed.

Directions writing.
You will notice that you are at the park. First you walk forward 5 steps. Then you will see the bike track. When you are standing on the bike track turn 90 degrees. After that walk forward until you come to a fence beside you. Then turn 90 degrees again and walk north until you are in front of the toilets. Turn 90 degrees and walk forward again. When you reach the first netball hoop stop. Then turn 45 degrees, you should be standing diagonally. After that walk forward until you reach the breeze. When you reach the breeze turn another 45 degrees. After that walk forward until you come to concrete again. Then when you are standing on concrete walk north-east, until you reach the pole. After that turn 45 degrees and walk forward 5 steps. Then turn 45 degrees. You have reached your destination.
This is my writing activity for this week. We had to choose a destination and write directions for the other person. We couldn't tell the other person where to go though. Here is the link to the photo CLICK HERE.

40 Hour Famine
Have you ever been to the 40 Hour Famine before? Well I have. A group of people did the 40 Hour Famine in the hall and slept in the library. I did not take part in this event because I was sick, but I did do it from home. It was very fun and sickening. When I was trying not to eat I had a very sore stomach. It was very hard not to eat, but somehow I got through it and stopped eating for 18 hours. I started at 6pm and finished at 12pm the next day. I raised $200.00. It was very fun. I hope you enjoy and even try it yourself.
We took part in the famine to raise money for South Sudan. All the money that we raised will go to the people in need. They will get new clothes and things for their house and also food.
