(Kick Start) Snowball Poem: Summer - SLJ 2021-2022

 

This weeks poetry slam task is a poem type called: Snowball Poems. I made mine about summer, in this poem type you have to make a sentence and then make the next a word/letter longer. In the kick start activity, you had to make it a word longer. Enjoy :)

(Step it up) Poetry Slam: Clerihew/Animation - SLJ 2021-2022

 This is my 6th poetry slam task. This week we learnt about Clerihew's, read one of my latest blog posts to learn more. I wrote mine about my cousin Braxton and her passion for the art of song and dance. This time we had to create something like an animation, I used the site scratch. Enjoy :)

(Step it up) Magnetic Haiku: Summer - SLJ 2021-2022

 

This is another Magnetic Poetry task! Instead of a normal Magnetic task, this is a Haiku Magnetic Poem. Kylah L from Saint Mary's Gisborne came up with this amazing idea. One of the tasks for: Poetry Slam 4 was to make our own Magnetic Poem (words given). The poem had to be all about summer. I have 3 sentences in my poem, Enjoy  :)

 

(Kick Start + Step it Up) Poetry Slam: Haiku and Tanka - SLJ 2021-2022

For the SLJ one of the poetry slam tasks was to write a Haiku or Tanka. I have decided to take the challenge and do both. A Haiku has 3 lines, the first line has 5, then 7 in the 2nd and then 5 syllables in the last. A Tanka has 5, then 7, then 5, then 7 and lastly 7. The Haiku will rhyme whereas the tanka will not. Enjoy :)
