(Step it up) Magnetic Haiku: Summer - SLJ 2021-2022

This is another Magnetic Poetry task! Instead of a normal Magnetic task, this is a Haiku Magnetic Poem. Kylah L from Saint Mary's Gisborne came up with this amazing idea. Make sure to go to her blog and leave her a comment, she has some great blog-posts. You can check her out at: https://saintmarysgiskylahl.blogspot.com/. Enjoy this poetry slam task :)

  1. Kia ora Kiarah. I love how you've been inspired by another slammer from another cluster and ka pai for giving them credit for the idea and adding the link to their blog on your post. I also like the way you've repeated the word air in all three lines. Keep up the awesome poetry mahi, I'm really enjoying reading your creations!

    1. Hi Phil,
Thank-you for the comment! I loved reading Kylah's poems, I tried to give her as much credit as I could. I actually found that ending my sentences with the same word was not easy! Thanks again :)

  2. Kia Ora Kiarah,

My name is Zana and I am a blog commenter from the summer learning journey.

It is great to see you finding inspiration from other summer learning journey bloggers and great job giving Kylah credit! I like the format you have created, it is similar to the fridge design but with an added pop of colour.

This is another beautiful poem, you have described a summer's afternoon well with the hot air, mozzies and cool nights.

What did you enjoy about this activity and what did you find challenging?

Keep up the good work and I hope to see more of your posts during the Summer Learning Journey!!

    Ngā mihi nui,
    Zana Yates

  3. Hi Zana,
I enjoyed reading Kylah's poems and knew she needed credit for the smart idea. I also enjoy the pop of colour! I enjoyed finding a unique way to write a poem. I found coming up with sentences that ended with "air" challenging. Thank-you for another great comment!
