I am a little late to this, but this is my 5th poetry slam task. This week we learnt about Clerihew's, read one of my slides to learn more. I wrote mine about my cousin Braxton and her passion for the art of song and dance. Enjoy :)
Kia ora Kiarah. Great news you have made 5 slams for the poetry slam. I like that you made your poem about Braxton. Did you read it to her. I thought the bit where she ends up like a square was cool and original. Are you enjoying the poetry slam? Dave from Manaiakalani
Kia ora Kiarah. Phil here from the Poetry Slam team. It's ok to be late, poetry has no time limit. I love how you've given some background info in the first slide. I also think your poem would make a great picture book and I can see how it might be useful for maths with the number four and squares mentioned. What do you think? Don't forget to enter your poem into the slam using this form. Then you can head to this site to check out some other students' poems and leave them some comments. Keep up the amazing mahi!
My name is Quein and I am a blog commenter for the Manaiakalani Summer Learning Journey. I agree with Phi and Dave this was a well written and thoughtful poem. I also enjoyed that you included an ia slide with a clear explanation about clerihew poems, which would provide context and help your fellow bloggers understand what a clerihew poem is. It is very impressive the use of positive words, nouns and adjectives that you have used to support your poem- Ka Pai!!!
Keep up the Super work I look forward to your next blog post!!!
