One of the SLJ tasks was to have a target competition with our family/friends. I did it with my brother, and we had the same type of plane, but very different scores.
TARGET:
4 zones:
Purple=0 pts
Green=5 pts
Blue=10 pts
Red=20 pts
Paper Plane:
I made mine out of card paper, it is the World Record plane.
We had three throws each, I won the competition with 25 pts (Blue,Blue,Green), Tevita got 20 pts (Purple,Red,Purple). I had heaps of fun and will definitely do this again. Try it out!

I think you did an awesome job of introducing the activity and explaining your different paper planes and how your target competition was run. Congratulations on winning the competition with your awesome plane.
I agree that making a plane out of cardboard paper or thicker paper is best as they are more sturdy but sometimes they can become too heavy! What other materials do you think you could make a plane out of?
Keep up the good work and I hope to see more of your posts during the Summer Learning Journey!!

Hi Zana,
DeleteI'm glad I explained the activity well, I got tongue tied a few times.My plane was sturdy, maybe you could make a plane out of wood? Thank-you for another great comment!
