Today one of the tasks for SLJ was to create a weather journal. My Journal is in 3 time slots, from 9 am to 2 pm. I had to go outside and look at the sky, see: What was I wearing?, check the temperature and see what the weather was. Enjoy :)
It’s Fiona from the Manaiakalani team. It is great to see you having a go at this weather journal task.
You have done a great job of creating an easy to read table to show what the weather was doing in your part of Aotearoa. It looks like you have been having some nice weather! How did you measure the temperature?
I look forward to seeing more great mahi from you during the summer learning journey.
Hi Fiona! We have been having some awesome weather, it gets a bit too hot sometimes though. If I was to be honest, I don’t have anything to measure the temperature. So I just searched it up on google, if that’s ok. Thanks for the comment once again! Kiarah
My name is Zana and I am a blog commenter from the summer learning journey.
What a brilliant weather report and a lovely sunny day. Did you learn anything new from reading about how people monitored the weather in the past? What tricks and methods did they use?
I was also interested in the same question Fiona has asked, how did you measure the temperature?
What did you enjoy about this activity and what did you find challenging?
Keep up the good work and I hope to see more of your posts during the Summer Learning Journey!!
Hello Zana! I learned that instead of following a calendar they looked at the nature and patterns of the weather. I just searched it up one google. I enjoyed going outside and enjoying the nice weather. I found that picking time slot's was a hard thing to do.Thank you for the consistent comments! Kiarah
