My hometown and why it is special

I live in New Zealand, but my hometown is a special place my hometown is Auckland in the North Island of New Zealand. Auckland has lots of relaxing places like cafes, parks, restaurants, spas, hotels and motels. Even though Auckland has lots of relaxing places it also is a very busy city. I am Auckland and Auckland is me, Auckland is such a big part of me. I love Auckland.

The legend of Aotearoa.

According to Maori mythology most of Aotearoa was brought together when Maui, one of the powerful demigods, made a magical hook for fishing. This hook was made out of his grandmothers jawbone. That very day Maui went out to fish, he hopped in a little wooden boat and started to paddle. He went all the way into the middle of the Pacific Ocean. In that very spot he caught a fish. This fish was the South Island of Aotearoa. In this honour the North Island is sometimes called Te Ika   E Maui or Maui’s fish and the South Island is sometimes called Te Waka E Maui or Maui’s waka.

Drone Flying

Running to the field in excitement  after morning tea we followed the drone. We were going to do a drone race and it was boys against girls, only 20 people did this activity. The drone was flone on the field and the bike track.  We did this activity because we wanted to get better at skills and so we could have fun. Once we got to the field we set everything up and then we sat down quickly so we could try out the drone. Mr Moran shouted “ Shayna and Kamryn come on you are going to fly the drone.” Mr Moran demonstrated how to fly and what to do when flying the drone. He said that you have to fly it all the way to the christmas box and then spin the drone around and come back and land the drone. After that Shayna had a turn. She did the directions that were said and she got a time os 46 seconds. Then Kamryn had a turn then I did and Finau had a turn. Some other people had a turn, but I can’t really remember. Then it was the boys turn and nearly all of the boys got a turn, but they were quite good at it.  When we were finished we cleaned up and went inside. When we got inside we started to write our recount about flying the drone.

My favourite part was sitting in the shade under the tree waiting for the other people to finish flying the drone.

Highlights of 2018

The first thing that I chose was my hail picture because it was so cool and the hail was like snowballs because when you threw them they smashed just like snowballs. The second picture that I chose was my art work because I had lots of fun and it was cool to learn my cultures art. The last picture that I chose was ice block day I chose this because the ice block was so good and I really enjoyed the strawberry flavour.

These are 3 of my dream jobs, well these are all of my dream jobs. The first job that 

I ever dreamed of doing was standing in the court room and helping the person that I am working with and hoping that I will win. The second job that I wanted to be was a pilot because, I love going in the air and looking out the window. The last job that I would like to be is a you tuber  because it would be really fun and I would like to share fun activity's with people around the world.

Classroom battleships interview

What was your favourite part of our Classroom Battleships?



My favourite part was when we got to move the classroom around because we have never done that before and it was so fun.



What strategies did you use, why?



I hid close to the table because when the boys throw it hard I won’t get hit because I am close to the table and the pillows were far away.



What was the funniest thing that happened?



The funniest thing that happened was that I got hit by the big granade (bean bag) in the face and everybody was laughing at me.



What was the most challenging part of our Classroom Battleships?



Trying to throw the grenade without standing up.



What piece of furniture was the best to use, why?



For me it was the table because it was hard and you couldn’t knock it down.



What would you do differently next time?



Move around and not stay in the same spot.

The first thing you do is split up into teams, then you move the classroom around until you like how it is. After that you start the challenge. First rule is that you are not aloud to stand up when you are throwing the grenade and you are not aloud to move around once you throw the grenade.

The cool narrative.

There was a girl ( actually a boy) named farternater. She lived in a beautiful pink mansion and in front of her beautiful pink mansion was the most tranquil beach in the world. She loved to go to the beach because it was right in front of her house, but the real reason was that the beach was littered with shells and driftwood and she loved to make creations of art with the shells and driftwood.





One day she went to the beach and saw bull. She decided that she wanted to be mean to the bull and throw sand in her eye. Splash! Went the sand as it stang bulls eye. The bull was so angry, but she decided to just stay calm and enjoy the rest of her day.











Later that day the devil queen Devilena saw what the selfish fartenater was doing. Devilena cursed farternater and the curse was that he was not aloud to fart! Devilena realised that she was not aloud to fart and that was when Devilena sent a message to her. She said “ I cursed you because you were being mean to the bull and she didn’t do anything to you. The only way to get rid of the curse is to find the bull and say sorry.” farternater thought that that was going to be easy but it wasn’t. The next day farternater went to the beach to find the bull, but she couldn’t find her. She finally saw the bull and she ran to say sorry and the bull forgave her. The curse went away and farternater learned her lesson. They lived happily ever after.

Movie review

Do you hate long Hollywood Block Buster movies? Well then this is the movie for you! Hi my name is Kiarah, this movie was by Room 13 at Pt England School and was made for the 2014 Maniakalani Film Festival. It is called The Chase. The main idea of this movie is that a couple is on a date and a prankster comes along and sprays them with a water gun. They chased the prankster and the chase was still on. They past the ballerinas and knocked  them down, they got so angry. The ballerinas chased the prankster as well. The prankster knocked over more people and they began to chase him. The group of people chased him around the school. They finally got him and he got what he deserved. My favourite part was when it finished I didn't really like it. Irate it a 3 out of 5.
 This is my movie reveiw. I had Vika and Ema in my group. Ema held up my book and vika was the filmer.

Relay skipping

With the sun shining, Mr Moran said " Today we are going to go outside and do some  skipping and some relays." He also said that we had to line up outside very quietly so we could get some points. So we all lined up outside and did it without any noise. Unfortunately Hikianalia got the 10 points.


A few minutes later we got to the court. Mr Moran explained the rules to us and this is what he said "One team is going to do skipping with Miss Shanaia, Miss Duder, Miss King and Miss Scanlan. While the other 3 teams do relays with me. The team that is going to skipping is going to be Hinemoana. Now these are the rules. The first person in the line gets up and picks the skipping rope up, hops 2 times on the sipping rope, skip to the very end of the cones, skip 5 time and run back with the skipping rope." "Are you ready?!" Mr Moran shouted. "Yes!" The other teams exclaimed. ( I heard Mr Moran say it.)

The relays started and they were off. So we started skipping. We girls were with Miss King and Miss Scanlan. When it was my turn I was so excited. I was so relieved when I was finished because I did 17 jumps and it was exhausting. About 10 minutes later we started to do several people at the same time. The farest that I got up to was 4 people. Mr Moran exclaimed " swap over!" We swapped over with one team, but I can't remember witch one.


Our team competed with the other teams and it was thrilling to watch. When it was my turn I went as fast as I could that I nearly tripped over. The relays were so breath taking, but it was exotic. Team after team we swapped over until every team had a go at skipping.


The finals of the relays had finally come an it was so exciting. Our teams had to pick one boy and one girl. I was one of those girls and I was very nervous. We had to do the same thing that we had to do at the start of the relays. Mr Moran yelled "the team that chears the loudest will get 100 points!" I stood up and did my best because my team was chearing so loud for me. At the end of the finals my team got the points  and I was so happy. It was such a treat.

Family! The most important, special and delicate thing well people in my life are my family. My family is something that is apart of me because they are just so important to me. Plus they have been there for me my whole life.

My culture is so special because I was born with it. It is such a big part of my life. I love my culture because I get to eat crab and it is delicious.

Education is so important to me because when I grow up I want to have a good job.

Food is special to me because it tastes so good and it is just good.

today we went to the dairy

Today we went to the dairy for a walk. By we I mean my mum, brother and I. All of us got ready for the walk, we put our jackets on, our socks and shoes and the most fun part was that we got to bring our scooters. Beginning the walk I looked to the side and saw a weird car, at that moment I was super curious what that car was for. So I looked closely and realised that it was just an old rusty car. Once we got to the shop my mum said that we could get something. I chose a packet of chips and it was a small one and my brother chose a packet of gummy bears.



When we finished paying we all went outside and scooted our way home. Always remember that it is good to walk and get out of the house.

Trip to Morinsville

It was a bright and beautiful Monday morning as I yawned while eating my breakfast. I was so excited that morning because we were going to Morinsville! Once I finished my breakfast I got up and went to my room so I could get my suitcase, I went outside and put it in the car. Me and my brother bolted towards the trampoline and leaped up so we could get in the trampoline. My brother and I jumped up and down until we lost our breath. I slowly jumped off the trampoline and went inside to do some things before we started to go on our road trip. When we finally  finished packing we all hopped in the car and started driving. Exhausted we finally got on the South Motorway, seconds later we realised that we had like 1 or 2 more hours to go so we got comfortable and started our journey. You could even tell that the car was even exhausted that it was so badly hot. Thirty minutes to go and we have already made 3 toilet stops,2 food stops and 4  gas stops ! At last we got to my nanas house I call her bama mini because her dogs name is mini and I’ve always called my nanas bama. I was so excited to finally get to see her and her dog I love her dog so much, guess what? She is 105 in dog years. When we finished unpacking our stuff for the night we got to have dinner because we got there at night time.   When we finished our dinner we went straight to bed because we were so tired.

In the morning we went for a morning ride on our scooters to a college. It was so fun and fun that is all you can say. When we got back from the ride we had some lunch before we went home. We had sconces and they were delicious like cake. I was so gutted that we had to go, but I was glad that we visited her because I missed her so much. After we said our goodbyes  we went home.

When everybody got out to the reserve there was a patch of long muddy grass. All the girls trudging through the awful mud. I thought to myself that that was my chance to win the race so I sucked up my guts and boosted through the mud.

Cross country

I started breathing heavily as I strutted to the start line. Mr Burt screamed " on your marks!" Slap went the loud wooden clapper. Everyone bolted there way through the crowd, but I jogged so I didn't lose my energy. The girls boosted to the black gate and started to slow down. When everybody got out to the reserve there was a patch of long muddy grass. All the girls trudging through the awful mud. I thought to myself that that was my chance to win the race so I sucked up my guts and boosted through the mud. The rest of the way I jogged and I was so proud of myself. I came 6th place. I was so relieved that the race was over.

Thank you so much for coming to our school for free! It has been a pleasure meeting you and working with you. You guys are so awesome and creative. It  has been great  working with you guys and it has been very fun. Once again thank you for coming to our school and giving us t-shirts, certificates and a Mauri stone. You guys are awesome.

This is what we learnt about. We learnt that water is very important because 97 percent of our water is polluted so we only have 3 percent of water, but 2 percent is frozen so we only have 1 percent of our water. water is life and life is water.

Elimination tag with a twist

As I sat on the freezing cold dark green grass, I sighed "this grass is so wet!" A second later Mr Moran shouted " class we are going to play Elimination tag, but there is a twist to it." The class screamed "YAY!" Mr Moran exclaimed " the twist is that there will be three people on the outside of the park trying to throw dodge balls at you!" "Now we are going to pick the taggers and the ball throwers." Miss Scanlan said. The first person to throw the ball was Lincoln the second was Kamryn and the last was Ana. The two taggers were Adriana and Bryston. Miss Scanlan told us that we needed to watch out for Lincoln, Adriana,Ana, Kamryn and  Bryston. After that we started the game, the taggers had to give us ten seconds to dash around. Ten seconds later the taggers started tagging, the smaller that the group got the taggers were getting even slower because they were exhausted. Half way through the game I got tug, but I was kind of happy because I wanted to go and sit down. About twenty minutes later there was only one person standing... It was Marius. After a few minutes he got corned by the taggers and fell and hurt his leg terribly. It was so fun I hope we can do it again.

It was dark at night. As I stood up I heard a squeal from the room. I gently pushed the door open and there was a monster on tv, I shouted "ahh!" I was horrified. It was so scary. Anyway I asked if we could do to the skate park (it was night time of course.)My mum said " ok get ready then." I said " what really." So I got my warm clothes on and got ready. Once I got ready we headed off in the car. When we got there I was so excited. We turned the car lights on and got our scooters out of the boot. We started skating and it was so fun My brother went down the big ramps and the small ones. I did the same. We had so much fun you should try it.

Poly strong challenge.

A healthy lifestyle.

I think a healthy lifestyle as a kid means that you have to be hygienic. So basically I think that you have to clean your room, brush your teeth twice a day, have a shower every day and clean your cloths every day. There are still lots of things that I think about of a healthy lifestyle. Like a kid should be able to run and not stop, but these days they can’t because they just sit on the screen all day. We need to change that so eat lots of veges and fruits plus drink lots of water because 98 percent of our blood is water.So thats what I think.

Fun day Friday!

“ Yaaaaayyyy! “ The class yelled as Mr Moran screamed “ Fun day Friday!” Mr Moran’s parents came from Hamilton for his Birthday. They brang cake, donuts and muffins it was so yum. First we sung some some wiata, we sang Ko te whea, Au we Rona e, and that’s it. After that Mr Moran said “ When I call your house color go outside.” When we were all outside one of our teachers Miss Scanlan put the candle on the cake.


The candle was so weird because when you put it on the cake it bloomed out like a flower. The candles were on the petals of the flower. The candles were very tiny and the flower was made out of plastic.



Mr Moran started to call out peoples names and that’s when they could get a piece of cake. The cake was so yum. I got it all over my face and it was so funny. Then when everyone was finished eating they had a chance to get chosen for a donut. When people were finished their donuts we all went inside and got our bags.

Matariki

In a village next to the highest mountain there lived seven sisters. Every New Year they would make kites because it was the new harvest. The youngest one called matariki couldn't make a kite because she was too young. Matariki was so intelligent and filled with beauty in and out. In 2018 she was old enough to make a kite.


The oldest one made her kite out of the Harakeke bush and it was a beautiful nature green. The second sister made a kite from the Raupo bush and it was a bright orange. The third sister made her kite from the Manuka tree and it was a fantastic flamingo pink. The fourth sister made her kite from the Puriri tree and it was a blood red. The fifth sister made her kite from from the color of the river and fish. Her kite was a shiny silver (Matariki) made her kite from out of shells, grass and many things around her. Her kite was a beautiful rainbow color.


When the sisters finished making their kites they glided up the mountain. When they got to the top they saw that Tawhirimatea (the wind) wasn’t blowing so they tied their kites to the tree and fell asleep.





In the middle of the dark night Tawhirimatea started to blow and the seven sisters kites flew away.


The next morning Matariki woke up in tears because their kites were gone. She said “ our kites our kites where are they.” The six other sisters woke up from the sound of crying. Matariki saw the kites in the sky and said “ look our kites.” Then the oldest sister said “ look Matariki those will be your stars for the rest of your life.” Matariki was so excited.










That’s the story of Matariki.

Zoo trip

As I walked in the Zoo door with my class, my eyes blew up. My eyes haven't seen so much things at once in my life. I was so excited! This was my chance to learn more about animals and their ways of life. We went to the Zoo just for fun. I was so excited to see more.




The first walk around was super cool because we saw a wallaby. A wallaby is a type of marsupial a marsupial is an animal that carries their baby in its pouch. Then we were walking around and we saw the red panda. The red panda is one of my favourite animals because it can climb so high and it is so cute. After that we saw the flamingo. It was so pretty, but it stayed to still. After that we saw the lion I loved it because that animal is my favourite! The last animal we saw was the elephant. The elephant was so big and grey.






When we finished the walk around we came back to our meet up place. Then we had morning tea, I was so hungry. 20 minutes later we waited for the people to take us to the New Zealand area. We walked to the New Zealand area to learn about the animals that sleep in the day and wake up in the night. The first animal that we saw was a kiwi. We learnt that when the mama kiwi lays the egg and then they go to look for food. Then the daddy kiwi comes along and notices if the egg is his or not. If it is then th e dad sits on it so it is warm and it can hatch. When it hatches the dad kiwi runs off and the baby kiwi has to survive by it self.




Then we walked outside and we saw the eels. I found out that they are in New Zealand, but when it gets to cold they swim all the way to Tonga because in Tonga it is very hot in winter time and all the time.





After that we walked out of the main New Zealand area and walked to the cage that the New Zealand birds live in. I saw a

Tui, Kaka and that is it. “Ouch!” I screamed as I slipped. I slipped because we were going up wooden steps, but the steps were wet. As I got to the top I filled up with excitement. When I got to the top I saw that there were mangoes,apples,pear! I was so confused I was thinking that it was for the people, but then I realised that there was a bird house next to it. So it was definitely for the birds.







Bugs! Disgusting right well we went to the Bug Lab at the Zoo. As I was walking down the hallway to the door I was so scared. As I was tiptoeing I opened the door and I was actually not scared. There weren't any real bugs they were just plastic. The first thing that I saw was the cockroach part. There was a part in the middle and it was the main part. When you walked in you walked straight then you walked around and then you saw the cockroach was standing up. Then I walked out and saw a lot more things, but those things were kind of boring. I was walking around and as I was walking I saw a slide! I went down it and I heard these sounds and I saw some lights. Then I realised that it could sense when you went down the slide, it was so cool! About 30 minutes later we left and went to our meeting place. The teacher said “you can have one more look around, but meet at the elephant in the front of the zoo.”








The first thing we did was that we went to the Kid Zone ! The Kid Zone is a play area that you can play in. They have different types of mirrors. My favourite was the squiggly mirror. Then when you walk outside you can see this huge playground. The first thing I saw was the big dragon. The dragon was blue and it was super slippery. The second thing I saw was this big slide it was probably the size of a house. It was a rainbow slide and it was so fun. The last thing I saw was a even bigger slide it was nearly the size of a two story house. At the top there was a cracked egg. When you went down there was a bump like a chair and then it turned normal again. It was rainbow like the other one. It was so fun!







10 minutes later we went to see the African bit of the zoo. I saw the Emus and the Giraffes together first. Then I saw the Zebras, you could go close to them, but there was still a fence. My favourite part was the Meerkats they were so cute. You could go under tunnels and see them run around. It was so fun. Then it was time to head back to the Elephant. Before we left we took a photo of the whole class under the Elephant.

Catapult war!!!!!!

We had a war! Yesterday we made something so awesome, we made catapults because we were learning about energy. These are the things that you need to make a catapult. You will need, 6 popsicle sticks, Sellotape and pompoms. First you  stack four sticks like a pancake then you get sellotape and tape both of the ends of the pancake. The next step is to get the two other sicks and sellotape only one end of the two so it looks like a v. Finally you put the four sticks in between the v  and you are done. After that you put your pompom on the end  and that is called potential energy that means that it is waiting. Here comes the fun part.


The war started! Everyone went crazy they were screaming and running all over the place. My class were shooting each other and hiding under the tables. Our teacher Mr Moran was joining in too. He was getting shot, he started  crying like a baby. My friends Keyana, Julianna and I had a little war ourselves. We were hiding behind the couches and even one of my friends pretended to die. I was laughing at her because she looked hilarious.


After the war we had a competition to see who could get it close to the square our in the square. We went ten kids at a time. all of the kids in my class had a turn, but only  8 kids made it to the finals. In the first round Jermaine got a point. All the other rounds know body got it so Aaron and Jermaine won the competition.  It was so fun I felt so tired, hungry and happy it was the most fun ever.tea.

The energy starts as potential energy and then it transforms into kinetic energy. Then the kinetic energy transforms into gravitational potential energy when it falls.

In my Rube Goldberg I have all the six simple machines.

First my ball (wheel) goes  down a inclined plane and knocks down the dominos (lever). The last domino has a string attached to it, witch stops the ball (wheel) ,but when the domino (lever) knocks over the ball (wheel) moves and goes through a tube (ramp). Then the ball (wheel) flies into a cup and the cup starts to go down because of the weight, there is a pulley that is holding the cup and blocking the ball (wheel) from going down. So when the cup goes down the ball (wheel) goes down the screw (swirly slide) and then comes out the other end and  knocks down the dominos (lever). The last domino (lever) knock the car (wheel) and the car starts to move, after that the car (wheel)knocks a watering can and the watering can waters some flowers and the water overflows and knocks a wedge over. After that the car in front of the wedge rolls down and lands on scissors (wedge) witch cuts the balloon, finally the balloon floats up and pops! Confetti comes out and there is a party.

wheels day

when was the last time you could wear anything you wanted to school ? Wheels day is a day when we raise money for the year 8 camp, but most importantly it is about having fun. The whole school participates in wheels day. If you want to bring wheels and mufti you have to bring a gold coin. We have it at lunch time and it is in the school.





When we come to school we have to put our wheels in the corner of the class and put our other stuff away. Then we do some reading and go to morning tea. After morning tea we do some maths and go to lunch. Lunch is exciting because this is the time that you get to ride your wheels. It is so fun because if you have a bike then you can go on the bike track and if you have other wheels then you can go around the school. It is so much fun.

On Friday night me, my brother and my dad went for a walk around the Pt England street block.  When we left the house we all walked to the park down the road. We played on the swings and the slide it was so much fun. After that we went for a walk and picked up some  sticks, then we had a stick fight. Finally we went home and had dinner.

Peter rabbit was trying to find a way into the garden. “ come on “ shouted Peter as they slid down the roof. They found a way into the garden - the washing line. They were balancing on the washing line then suddenly Benjamin fell, but luckelly peter grabbed him by his ears.

Peter and Benjamin fell into some pair of pants, as they slid out of the legs Peter exclaimed “easy peasy lemon squeezy.” They were very proud of them self's.

Before they knew it Mr Mergreger pulled the pants and chased them as fast as he could. Peter and Benjamin ran as fast as they could, they hopped over the garden and they hid. Mr Mergreger lost them and he was furious.

Mr Mergreger found Peter and his friend, Mr Mergreger laughed evilly as he chased them. Mr Mergreger whispered “hello” as he smashed the shovel into the ground, Peter and Benjamin ran and luckily they found a gap in the door.

As I got on the roller coaster I felt anxious. When the roller coaster started moving I heard the wheels starting to squeal. I saw a waterfall going down stairs, I thought that that was crazy. It started going fast and I realized that it was super fun, I was screaming with excitement as I went down the big hill. I saw some police cars upside down and I was amazed because how can they make that it is so big. When the roller coaster stopped I was so sad and annoyed. I had so much fun.

As I dived into the shiny water, I saw a beautiful blue dolphin. The dolphin was  playing with the yellow sand. Then I turned around and saw pink and white shells. I heard the dolphins speaking to me, the water was splashing around as I swam to the bottom. I felt nervous, but then I realised that they were nice.

Yesterday after morning tea we went to creative space and finished off our hyperstudio. Then we got changed into our togs and walked to the swimming pools. When we got there we had to rinse off so the germs on our body wouldn't go in the pool. Finally we got to get into the pool.



Our instructor taught us how to get in the pool safely and then we went under water for five seconds. Then we floated on our tumey for five seconds and then we did my favourite part, we dived and pushed off with our feet but we did not kick. After that we got some toys and trough them as hard as we could and dived for them. Then we dived and pushed off but this time we kicked to the island. After that we dived for our toys 4 more times and then we got out of the pool safely.




Finally we got our towel and went back to school to get changed. It was so fun and exciting.

Are Zoos good?

This week we are learning about animals in zoos and if it is good for animals to be in zoos. Animals are interesting to find out bout and there natural habitat but they are not in there natrual ahbitat

Ormaru Creek

Last week we walked to Ormaru Creek. First we sat on the pathway and sketched what we saw with a pencil and I saw beautiful trees, flax bushes, ducks and eels. Then we got in a line of people that finished sketching and went back to class and sat on the mat waiting for our teacher to give instructions.





Then we got into partners and painted the bank, creek and the sky, it was so much fun! After that it was morning tea time. When the paintings were dry we got to add detail with crayon. Then we out lined it with black crayon. Finally we painted the other bank on the other side and then we were finished.

the legend of Rahi

Once upon a time there lived a man called Rahi. he had a beautiful wife called Ti ara. One night a enemy tribe kidnapped Ti ara from her whare. When Rahi woke up he realised that Ti ara had been kidnapped. Rahi and his people built a kite to rescue Ti ara, then he got some bird eggs for his journey. The god of wind helped Rahi fly with his kite, but then Te Puhuru the leader of the other tribe cast a spell on the forest so Rahi could not get through. Rahi flew to the ground with his kite and was safe, but he wasn't safe for long because Te Puhuru used the sun to burn Rahi. Then he found shelter under a rock, after a while a taniwha came but lucky that it hated the shade. He finally got to where the bad guys were. Rahi said “ give my wife back!” Then the bad guy said “ never!” Then Te Puhuru through his teeth at Rahi. After that Rahi finally got his wife back.

rules for Ki-O-Rahi

These are the rules for the game Ki-O-Rahi.

There are two teams Taniwha and Kioma. First rule is that you have to stand on the line and try and score it by throwing it onto the barrel if they do then Taniwha gets a try ,then Kioma has a person running and if the other team gets a try then that person stops at the post that they last touched. Who ever has the most people at their base first wins.

Ki-O-Rahi

Last Thursday we went to kiwi sport and played Ki-O-Rahi, but we also played another game called Taniwha and Kioma in the hall. Ki-O-Rahi is like ball tag, but it has a lot of different rules. Taniwha and Kioma is a game where if you say taniwha then kioma chases taniwha and if they say kioma then taniwha chases kioma. After we played both of those games we sat down and watched a video about why the game Ki-O-Rahi was made. It was made so you didn't have to fight, whoever got the most points won. After that we answered some questions and went back to class to have a drink of water and do our work.
